Calculation Formula

Q = m * c * ΔT

Where:
Q = Heat transfer capacity (kW)
m = Mass flow rate (kg/s)
c = Specific heat capacity (kJ/kg·K)
ΔT = Temperature difference (K)

Plate Heat Exchanger Capacity Calculator 使用指南

This guide explains how to use the Plate Heat Exchanger Capacity Calculator and its working principle.

How to Use

  1. Enter the cold fluid flow rate in liters per minute (L/min).
  2. Enter the cold fluid inlet temperature in degrees Celsius (°C).
  3. Enter the hot fluid flow rate in liters per minute (L/min).
  4. Enter the hot fluid inlet temperature in degrees Celsius (°C).
  5. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the heat transfer capacity.
  6. The result will be displayed in kilowatts (kW).

Working Principle

The calculator uses the formula Q = m * c * ΔT to estimate the heat transfer capacity of a plate heat exchanger. It assumes both fluids have the same specific heat capacity (4.18 kJ/kg·K for water) and calculates the outlet temperatures based on flow rates and inlet temperatures.
