How to Use the Release Equity Calculator

1. Enter the Original Equity in the first input field. This is the initial equity value of the investment.
2. Enter the Additional Investment in the second input field. This is any additional investment made into the equity.
3. Enter the Release Amount in the third input field. This is the amount of equity you are releasing.
4. Click the Calculate button to compute the release equity percentage.
5. The result will be displayed in the Release Equity (%) field.

Understanding the Formula

The calculator uses the following formula to determine the release equity:

Release Equity = (Original Equity + Additional Investment) / (Original Equity + Additional Investment + Release Amount) * 100

This formula calculates the percentage of equity being released relative to the total equity.
