Working Principle

The calculator uses a simplified formula to estimate the speed of the vehicle based on engine performance parameters. The speed is calculated as:

Speed (km/h) = (Engine Power * 0.5) / Vehicle Weight * 3.6

Where:

  • Engine Power: The power output of the engine in horsepower
  • Vehicle Weight: The total weight of the vehicle in kilograms
  • 3.6: Conversion factor to convert meters per second (m/s) to kilometers per hour (km/h)

Once the speed is calculated, the time to cover the specified distance is determined using the formula:

Example
