Learn how to use the Midface Ratio Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Measure the width of your upper face (from one side of your forehead to the other) in centimeters using a ruler. Make sure to measure horizontally and keep the ruler parallel to the ground.
  2. Measure the width of your lower face (from one side of your jaw to the other) in centimeters using a ruler. Again, measure horizontally and keep the ruler parallel to the ground.
  3. Enter the measured values for the upper face width and lower face width into the respective input fields in the calculator.
  4. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the midface ratio and harmony level.

Understanding the Results

The midface ratio is calculated as a percentage by dividing the width of the upper face by the width of the lower face and multiplying by 100. This ratio helps determine facial harmony based on traditional aesthetic principles.

Harmony Levels

  • High Harmony (85% - 115%): Indicates a well-balanced and harmonious facial structure according to traditional aesthetic standards.
  • Medium Harmony (75% - 125%): Indicates a moderately balanced facial structure, which may still be considered aesthetically pleasing.
  • Low Harmony (Below 75% or above 125%): Indicates a less balanced facial structure according to traditional aesthetic standards.

It's important to note that while the midface ratio is a useful indicator of facial harmony, individual beauty is subjective and influenced by many factors beyond facial measurements.
