How to Use the Turn Rate Calculator
- Enter the Initial Angle (the starting direction in degrees). This is the angle where your object begins its turn.
- Enter the Final Angle (the ending direction in degrees). This is the angle where your object completes its turn.
- Enter the Time Taken (how long the turn takes in seconds).
- Click the Calculate button to compute the turn rate.
- The calculator will display the turn rate in both degrees per second and radians per second.
Example
Suppose a car turns from facing North (0°) to facing East (90°) in 5 seconds. To calculate the turn rate:
- Initial Angle = 0°
- Final Angle = 90°
- Time Taken = 5 seconds
- Turn Rate = (90° - 0°) / 5 s = 18°/s
Applications
The Turn Rate Calculator can be used in various fields including:
- Robotics for controlling movement
- Aviation for calculating aircraft maneuvers
- Automotive engineering for vehicle handling
- Animation for character movement
- Physics for rotational motion analysis
