Working Principle

The Brix Density Calculator calculates the Brix degree based on the density of a solution. Brix is a unit of measurement used to indicate the sugar content of a solution, expressed as a percentage by weight of sucrose in water at a specific temperature. The formula used for the calculation is:

Brix (°Bx) = (Density - 1) * 1000

This formula assumes that the density of pure water at 20°C is 1 g/cm³. By subtracting 1 from the density of the solution and multiplying by 1000, we obtain the Brix degree.
