Calculation Formula

Grain Absorption (%) = ((Initial Moisture - Final Moisture) / Initial Moisture) * 100

Where:
Initial Moisture Content: The moisture content of the grain before absorption.
Final Moisture Content: The moisture content of the grain after absorption.

Grain Absorption Calculator Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Grain Absorption Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the initial moisture content of the grain in the "Initial Moisture Content (%)" field.
  2. Enter the final moisture content of the grain in the "Final Moisture Content (%)" field.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the grain absorption percentage.
  4. The result will be displayed in the "Grain Absorption (%)" field.

Working Principle

Grain absorption is a measure of the amount of water absorbed by grains during the milling process. It is calculated by subtracting the final moisture content from the initial moisture content and then dividing by the initial moisture content, followed by multiplying by 100 to get a percentage.

Example

If the initial moisture content of the grain is 14% and the final moisture content is 12%, the grain absorption can be calculated as follows:

Grain Absorption (%) = ((14 - 12) / 14) * 100 = 14.29%
