How to Use the Calculator

1. Enter the total number of pitches thrown by the pitcher in the "Number of Pitches" field.
2. Enter the total number of innings pitched by the pitcher in the "Innings Pitched" field.
3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the pitching rate.
4. The result will be displayed in the "Result" section, showing the number of pitches per inning.

Understanding the Pitching Rate

The pitching rate is a measure of how many pitches a pitcher throws per inning. It helps in understanding the workload and efficiency of a pitcher. A higher pitching rate may indicate a more aggressive pitching style, while a lower rate may suggest a more conservative approach.

For example, if a pitcher throws 120 pitches in 6 innings, the pitching rate would be 120 / 6 = 20 pitches per inning.
