Boiler Output Calculator

Calculate the boiler output in kg/hr based on steam parameters and flow rate

Input Parameters

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

Boiler Output (kg/hr) = Flow Rate × 1.163 × (Steam Temp - Feed Water Temp)

Where:
Flow Rate = Water flow rate in liters per hour
Steam Temp = Steam temperature in °C
Feed Water Temp = Feed water temperature in °C
1.163 = Conversion factor (1 liter of water ≈ 1 kg)

Result

Boiler Output: 0.00 kg/hr

Boiler Output Calculator Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Boiler Output Calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the steam pressure in kg/cm²
  2. Enter the steam temperature in °C
  3. Enter the feed water temperature in °C
  4. Enter the flow rate in liters per hour
  5. Click the "Calculate" button to get the boiler output in kg/hr

Working Principle

The boiler output is calculated based on the flow rate of water and the temperature difference between the steam and feed water. The formula used is:

Boiler Output (kg/hr) = Flow Rate × 1.163 × (Steam Temp - Feed Water Temp)

This calculation assumes that 1 liter of water is approximately equal to 1 kg, which is a reasonable approximation for water at these temperatures.

Applications

This calculator can be used by:

  • Boiler operators to monitor and optimize boiler performance
  • Engineers during boiler design and selection
  • Energy managers to assess energy efficiency
