This calculator estimates the calories burned based on BPM, body weight, duration, and activity MET value.
Learn how to use the BPM Calories Burned Calculator calculator and its working principles
The MET value is a way to estimate the energy cost of physical activities. A MET of 1.0 is equivalent to resting. For example, walking at a moderate pace has a MET value of about 3.0-4.0, meaning it burns 3.0-4.0 times the energy of resting.
If you weigh 70 kg, walk for 30 minutes at a pace that averages 120 BPM, and the MET value for walking is 3.5, the estimated calories burned would be:
Calories Burned = (3.5 × 70 kg × 0.5 hours) / 3.5 = 35 calories
