Liters to Grams Castor Oil Calculator

Convert the volume of castor oil in liters to its mass in grams based on its density.

Input Parameters

Default value for pure castor oil is 0.96 g/cm³

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

Mass (g) = Volume (L) × 1000 × Density (g/cm³)

Where:
- Volume (L) is the volume of castor oil in liters.
- Density (g/cm³) is the density of castor oil in grams per cubic centimeter.
- 1000 is the conversion factor from liters to cubic centimeters (1 L = 1000 cm³).

Liters to Grams Castor Oil Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Liters to Grams Castor Oil Calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the volume of castor oil in liters in the "Volume of Castor Oil (Liters)" field.
  2. The density of castor oil is pre-filled with the default value of 0.96 g/cm³, which is suitable for pure castor oil. You can change it if needed.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the mass of castor oil in grams.
  4. The result will be displayed in the "Mass of Castor Oil (Grams)" field.
  5. If you want to start over, click the "Reset" button to clear all input fields.

Working Principle

The calculator uses the formula: Mass = Volume × 1000 × Density. Here, the volume is converted from liters to cubic centimeters (1 liter = 1000 cubic centimeters), and then multiplied by the density to find the mass in grams.

Example

If you have 2 liters of castor oil with a density of 0.96 g/cm³, the calculation would be:

Mass = 2 L × 1000 cm³/L × 0.96 g/cm³ = 1920 g
