Moles to Concentration Calculator

This calculator converts moles of a substance to its concentration in a given volume of solution.

Input Parameters

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

Concentration (M) = Moles (mol) / Volume (L)

Where:
Moles (mol): The amount of substance in moles.
Volume (L): The volume of the solution in liters.
Concentration (M): The molarity of the solution in moles per liter.

Moles to Concentration Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Moles to Concentration Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the number of moles of the substance in the "Moles (mol)" field.
  2. Enter the volume of the solution in liters in the "Volume (L)" field.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the concentration.
  4. The result will be displayed in the "Concentration (M)" field.

Working Principle

The calculator uses the formula:

Concentration (M) = Moles (mol) / Volume (L)

This formula calculates the molarity of a solution, which is the number of moles of solute per liter of solution.

Example

If you have 0.5 moles of NaCl dissolved in 2 liters of water, the concentration would be:

Concentration (M) = 0.5 mol / 2 L = 0.25 M
