Calculate the weight of OSB panels based on dimensions and thickness.
Learn how to use the OSB Weight Calculator calculator and its working principles
The calculator uses the following formula to calculate the weight of the OSB panel:
Weight (kg) = (Length × Width × Thickness) × Density / 1000000
This formula calculates the volume of the OSB panel in cubic meters (m³) by multiplying the length, width, and thickness in millimeters (mm) and then converting the volume from cubic millimeters to cubic meters. The weight is then calculated by multiplying the volume by the density of the OSB panel.
For an OSB panel with a length of 2440 mm, a width of 1220 mm, and a thickness of 18 mm, the weight would be calculated as follows:
Weight = (2440 × 1220 × 18) × 600 / 1000000 = 33.05 kg
