How to Use the Calculator

Understanding Parts Per Million (ppm)
Parts per million (ppm) is a unit of measurement used to indicate very small concentrations of a substance in a solution or mixture. It is equivalent to one part in one million parts by mass or volume.
For example, if you have 1 ppm of a substance in water, it means there is 1 gram of the substance for every 1,000,000 grams of water.
