Calculator to convert CC to grams of powder

Convert volume in cubic centimeters (CC) to weight in grams of powder based on powder density

Input Parameters

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

Weight (grams) = Volume (CC) × Density (g/cc)

Where:
- Volume (CC): The volume of the powder in cubic centimeters
- Density (g/cc): The density of the powder in grams per cubic centimeter

Result

Weight: 0.00 grams

Calculator to convert CC to grams of powder Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Calculator to convert CC to grams of powder calculator and its working principles

How to use the calculator

  1. Enter the volume of the powder in cubic centimeters (CC) in the "Volume (CC)" field.
  2. Enter the density of the powder in grams per cubic centimeter (g/cc) in the "Powder Density (g/cc)" field. If you're unsure about the density, you can use a common value for reference:
    • Table salt: ~2.16 g/cc
    • Granulated sugar: ~0.74 g/cc
    • Powdered milk: ~0.53 g/cc
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to calculate the weight in grams.
  4. The result will be displayed in the "Weight" field.
  5. Click the "Reset" button to clear all fields and start over.

Working Principle

The calculator uses the basic formula:

Weight (grams) = Volume (CC) × Density (g/cc)

This formula works because density is defined as mass per unit volume. Therefore, multiplying the volume by the density gives you the mass (weight) of the substance.

Example

Suppose you have 50 CC of powdered sugar with a density of 0.74 g/cc. The calculation would be:

Weight = 50 CC × 0.74 g/cc = 37.0 grams
