  3. If you're offering a discount, enter the discount percentage (e.g., 15 for 15% off).
  4. Enter the applicable VAT rate for your region (e.g., 21 for 21%).
  5. Click the "Calculate" button to see the breakdown of costs and total.
  6. Use the "Reset" button to clear all inputs and start over.

Calculation Principles

This calculator follows these steps to determine your course sales revenue:

  1. Calculate the subtotal by multiplying the course price by the quantity.
  2. Apply the discount by subtracting the discount amount (subtotal × discount%) from the subtotal.
  3. Calculate the VAT on the discounted total (discounted total × VAT%).
  4. Sum the discounted total and VAT to get the final total amount.

Example Scenario

Suppose you're selling a course for €49.99 at a quantity of 25, with a 10% discount and a 21% VAT rate:

  • Subtotal: 25 × €49.99 = €1249.75
  • Discount Amount: €1249.75 × 10% = €124.98
  • Discounted Total: €1249.75 - €124.98 = €1124.77
  • VAT Amount: €1124.77 × 21% = €235.02
  • Total Amount: €1124.77 + €235.02 = €1359.79
