Understanding the Calculation

The calculator works by first calculating the profit per unit, which is the difference between the selling price and the cost price. Then, it multiplies the profit per unit by the quantity sold to determine the total profit.

Example

Suppose you sell a product for $20 per unit, and the cost price is $12 per unit. If you sell 100 units, the calculation would be:

Profit per unit = $20 - $12 = $8

Total Profit = $8 × 100 = $800
