How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter either Voltage (V) and Resistance (Ω), or Current (A) and Resistance (Ω), or both Voltage (V) and Current (A) in their respective fields.

Working Principle

The calculator uses Ohm's Law and the power formula to calculate electrical power:

  • Power (P) = Voltage (V) × Current (I) - When both voltage and current are known
  • Power (P) = Voltage² (V²) / Resistance (R) - When voltage and resistance are known
  • Power (P) = Current² (I²) × Resistance (R) - When current and resistance are known

Example

If you have a circuit with a voltage of 12V and a current of 2A, the power output would be:

P = 12V × 2A = 24W
