EMF distance calculator

EMF distance calculator can be used to calculate the strength of an electromagnetic field at a given distance from a source.

Input Parameters

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

EMF = Magnetic Field Strength / (4π * Distance^2)

Where:
EMF = Electromagnetic Field strength (μT)
Magnetic Field Strength = Magnetic field strength at source (μT)
Distance = Distance from the source (meters)
π = 3.141592653589793

Result

EMF at given distance: -- μT

EMF distance calculator Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the EMF distance calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the magnetic field strength in microteslas (μT) in the "Magnetic Field Strength" field.
  2. Enter the distance from the source in meters in the "Distance" field.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the EMF strength at the given distance.
  4. The result will be displayed in microteslas (μT).

Working Principle

The calculator uses the inverse square law to determine the EMF strength at a given distance from a source. The formula used is:

EMF = Magnetic Field Strength / (4π * Distance^2)

This formula assumes that the magnetic field strength decreases with the square of the distance from the source.
