This calculator helps you determine the cost per therm of your natural gas usage. Enter your monthly gas usage and average cost to get the cost per therm.
Learn how to use the Cost Per Therm Calculator calculator and its working principles
The cost per therm is calculated by dividing your average monthly gas cost by your monthly gas usage (in therm). Since 1 CCF is approximately equal to 100 therm, we multiply the usage by 100 to convert it to therm.
Formula: Cost Per Therm = Average Monthly Cost / (Monthly Gas Usage * 100)
If your monthly gas usage is 20 CCF and your average monthly cost is $200, the cost per therm would be:
$200 / (20 * 100) = $200 / 2000 = $0.10/therm
