Calculation Formula

Energy Consumption (kWh) = (Wattage × Hours per Day × Months per Year) / 1000

Where:
- Wattage: Power consumption of the LED light in watts (W)
- Hours per Day: Number of hours the LED light is used per day
- Months per Year: Number of months the LED light is used per year
- 1000: Conversion factor to convert watts to kilowatts (kW)

Energy Consumption: 0.00 kWh

Annual Cost: 0.00 $

Learn how to use the LED Energy Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use the LED Energy Calculator

  1. Enter the wattage of your LED light in the "LED Wattage (W)" field.
  2. Enter the number of hours you use the LED light per day in the "Usage Hours per Day (hours)" field.
  3. Enter the number of months you use the LED light per year in the "Usage Months per Year (months)" field.
  4. Enter the cost of electricity per kilowatt-hour (kWh) in the "Electricity Cost per kWh ($)" field.
  5. Click the "Calculate" button to calculate the energy consumption and annual cost.

Working Principle

The calculator estimates the energy consumption of an LED light by multiplying its wattage by the number of hours it is used per day and the number of months it is used per year. This value is then converted from watts to kilowatts (kW) by dividing by 1000. The annual cost is calculated by multiplying the energy consumption by the cost of electricity per kWh.
