Liters to Grams Calculator

Converts volume in liters to mass in grams based on the density of the substance.

Input Parameters

Note: 1 liter = 1000 mL

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

Mass (g) = Volume (L) × Density (g/mL) × 1000

Where:
- Mass is the mass in grams
- Volume is the volume in liters
- Density is the density in grams per milliliter

Liters to Grams Calculator Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Liters to Grams Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use

  1. Enter the volume of the substance in liters (L) in the "Volume (Liters)" field.
  2. Enter the density of the substance in grams per milliliter (g/mL) in the "Density (g/mL)" field.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the mass in grams.
  4. The result will be displayed in the "Mass (Grams)" field.

Example

If you have 2 liters of water (density = 1 g/mL), the mass would be:

Mass = 2 L × 1 g/mL × 1000 = 2000 g

Principle

This calculator uses the formula: Mass = Volume × Density. Since 1 liter is equal to 1000 milliliters, the density must be in g/mL to get the mass in grams.
