Calculation Formula

Energy (kWh) = Welding Power (kW) × Welding Time (hours)

Where:
Welding Power (kW): The power consumed by the welding machine.
Welding Time (hours): The duration of the welding process.

Welding Energy Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Welding Energy Calculator and its working principles.

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the welding power in kilowatts (kW) in the first input field.
  2. Enter the welding time in hours in the second input field.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the energy required for the welding process.
  4. The result will be displayed in the "Energy (kWh)" field.

Working Principle

The energy required for a welding process is calculated by multiplying the welding power (in kilowatts) by the welding time (in hours). This gives the total energy consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Example

If a welding machine has a power of 5 kW and is used for 3 hours, the energy consumed would be:

Energy = 5 kW × 3 hours = 15 kWh
