Calculate absolute pressure based on gauge pressure and atmospheric pressure
Learn how to use the Absolute Pressure Calculator calculator and its working principles
Absolute pressure is the total pressure exerted by a gas, measured from a perfect vacuum (zero pressure). It differs from gauge pressure, which measures pressure relative to atmospheric pressure.
The formula used is: Absolute Pressure = Gauge Pressure + Atmospheric Pressure
Example: If you measure a gauge pressure of 30 PSI at sea level (where atmospheric pressure is 14.7 PSI), the absolute pressure would be 30 + 14.7 = 44.7 PSI.
