Calculation Formula

Lumen Output (lm) = Power (W) × Luminous Efficacy (lm/W)

Where:
Power (W): The power consumption of the LED light in watts.
Luminous Efficacy (lm/W): The amount of light produced per watt of power consumed.

Lumen Output Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Lumen Output Calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Lumen Output Calculator

  1. Enter the power of your LED light in watts (W) in the "Power (Watts)" field.
  2. Enter the luminous efficacy of your LED light in lm/W (lumens per watt) in the "Luminous Efficacy (lm/W)" field.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the lumen output.
  4. The result will be displayed in the "Lumen Output (lm)" field.

Understanding the Formula

The formula used to calculate the lumen output is:

Lumen Output (lm) = Power (W) × Luminous Efficacy (lm/W)

This means that the total amount of light produced by an LED light is directly proportional to its power consumption and its efficiency in converting power to light.

Example

If you have an LED light that consumes 10 watts of power and has a luminous efficacy of 100 lm/W, the lumen output would be:

Lumen Output (lm) = 10 W × 100 lm/W = 1000 lm
