Total Solar Energy Rejected Calculator

This calculator determines the total solar energy rejected from a solar power system based on actual generation, maximum capacity, and rejection efficiency.

Input Parameters

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

Total Rejected Energy = (Solar Generation - Maximum Allowed Generation) × (1 - Rejection Efficiency / 100)

Where:
- Solar Generation: Actual solar energy generated (kWh)
- Maximum Allowed Generation: Maximum solar energy allowed (kWh)
- Rejection Efficiency: Percentage of energy effectively rejected (%)

Results

Total Rejected Energy (kWh): 0.00
Energy Utilization (%): 0.00%

Total Solar Energy Rejected Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Total Solar Energy Rejected Calculator and understand its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the actual Solar Generation in kWh. This is the total energy produced by your solar panels.
  2. Enter the Maximum Allowed Generation in kWh. This is the maximum capacity your system is allowed to generate.
  3. Enter the Rejection Efficiency as a percentage. This represents how effectively your system rejects excess energy.
  4. Click the Calculate button to compute the results.
  5. Use the Reset button to clear all inputs and start over.

Working Principle

The calculator works by determining the difference between the actual solar generation and the maximum allowed generation, then applying the rejection efficiency to calculate how much energy is effectively rejected from the system.

Example Scenario

Suppose you have a solar system that generates 500 kWh of energy in a day, but your maximum allowed generation is set to 450 kWh. If your system has a rejection efficiency of 85%, the calculator would determine that 35 kWh (500 - 450) × (1 - 85/100) = 5.25 kWh is effectively rejected from the system.

Applications

This calculator is useful for:

  • Solar energy system designers to optimize rejection mechanisms
  • Solar farm operators to monitor energy rejection
  • Regulatory compliance for solar energy systems
  • Energy efficiency assessments for solar installations
