Understanding the Results
The calculator provides two key results:
- Audience Growth Rate: This is the raw growth rate calculated as (Final Audience - Initial Audience) / Initial Audience.
- Audience Growth Rate Percentage: This is the growth rate expressed as a percentage, making it easier to compare across different time periods or with industry benchmarks.
Example Use Case
Suppose you started with 1,000 followers on social media (initial audience) and grew to 1,500 followers after 6 months (final audience). To calculate your audience growth rate:
- Initial Audience: 1,000
- Final Audience: 1,500
- Time Period: 6 months
- Growth Rate = (1,500 - 1,000) / 1,000 = 0.5
- Growth Rate Percentage = 0.5 × 100% = 50%
This means your audience grew by 50% over the 6-month period.
