How to Use the Calculator

1. Enter the Total Labor Hours in the first input field. This is the total number of hours spent preparing all meals.
2. Enter the Total Labor Cost in the second input field. This is the total cost of labor for all meals.
3. Enter the Total Meals in the third input field. This is the total number of meals prepared.
4. Click the Calculate button to compute the labor cost per meal.
5. The result will be displayed in the Labor Cost Per Meal field.

Understanding the Formula

The calculator uses the following formula to determine the labor cost per meal:

Labor Cost Per Meal = (Total Labor Cost / Total Labor Hours) * (Total Meals / Total Labor Hours)

This formula calculates the average labor cost per meal by first determining the labor cost per hour and then adjusting it based on the total number of meals prepared.

Example

If you have 100 labor hours, a total labor cost of $500, and prepare 200 meals, the labor cost per meal would be:

$500 / 100 hours = $5 per hour

$5 per hour * (200 meals / 100 hours) = $10 per meal
