How to Use This Calculator
- Enter your Base Price - this is the standard price for your product or service during non-weekend hours.
- Set the Weekend Multiplier - this determines how much more expensive weekend rates will be. For example, entering 1.5 means weekend rates are 50% higher than the base price.
- Specify the Tax Rate applicable to your area (if different from standard).
- Enter the Quantity if you're calculating for multiple units.
- Click the Calculate button to see the results.
Principle Explained
This calculator works based on the following formulas:
- Weekend Price = Base Price × Weekend Multiplier
- Subtotal = Weekend Price × Quantity
- Tax = Subtotal × Tax Rate
- Total = Subtotal + Tax
Example Scenario
Suppose a hotel room has a base price of $100 per night:
- If weekend rates are 50% higher (multiplier 1.5), the weekend price would be $150.
- For a 2-night stay (quantity 2), the subtotal would be $300.
- With an 8.25% tax rate, the tax would be $24.75.
- The total would be $324.75 for the weekend stay.
