Calculation Formula

Cost per hour = (Power Consumption / 1000) * Electricity Rate

Where:
Power Consumption (Watts): The power consumption of your air conditioning unit in watts.
Electricity Rate (Cost per kWh): The cost of electricity per kilowatt-hour in your area.

Result

Cost per hour: $0.00

Air Conditioning Cost Per Hour Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Air Conditioning Cost Per Hour Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the power consumption of your air conditioning unit in watts.
  2. Enter the electricity rate in your area (cost per kWh).
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to see the cost per hour.

Understanding the Formula

The calculator uses the following formula to calculate the cost per hour:

Cost per hour = (Power Consumption / 1000) * Electricity Rate

This formula converts the power consumption from watts to kilowatts (by dividing by 1000) and then multiplies it by the electricity rate to find the cost per hour.

Example

If your air conditioning unit consumes 1500 watts and your electricity rate is $0.15 per kWh, the cost per hour would be:

Cost per hour = (1500 / 1000) * $0.15 = $0.225
