How to Use the Calculator
- Enter the Cost Price per Unit of the commodity in USD.
- Enter the Selling Price per Unit of the commodity in USD.
- Enter the Quantity of the commodity being sold.
- Click the Calculate button to compute the profit per unit and total profit.
- Use the Reset button to clear all input fields and start over.
Understanding the Results
The calculator provides two key results:
- Profit per Unit: This is the profit made on each unit of the commodity sold, calculated as the difference between the selling price and the cost price.
- Total Profit: This is the total profit made from selling the specified quantity of the commodity, calculated as the profit per unit multiplied by the quantity.
Example
If you purchase a commodity for $5 per unit (Cost Price) and sell it for $10 per unit (Selling Price), and you sell 100 units (Quantity), the calculator will show:
- Profit per Unit: $5
- Total Profit: $500
