How to Use the Calculator
- Enter the area of your garden or planting bed in square feet. To calculate area, multiply the length by the width.
- Enter the desired mulch depth in inches. A common recommendation is 3 inches of mulch.
- The bulk density is already set to a typical value for rubber mulch (10 lbs/cu ft), but you can adjust it if needed.
- Click the "Calculate" button to get the results.
- The results will show the cubic feet needed, the weight required, and the number of 3-cubic-foot bags or 1-cubic-foot bags to purchase.
