Attraction Force Calculator

Calculate the gravitational attraction force between two objects using Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation

Input Parameters

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

F = G × (m₁ × m₂) / r²

Where:
F = Gravitational Force (N)
G = Gravitational Constant (6.674 × 10⁻¹¹ N·m²/kg²)
m₁ = Mass of Object 1 (kg)
m₂ = Mass of Object 2 (kg)
r = Distance between objects (m)

Result

Gravitational Force: 0.00 N

Attraction Force Calculator Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Attraction Force Calculator and understand gravitational forces

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the mass of the first object in kilograms (kg)
  2. Enter the mass of the second object in kilograms (kg)
  3. Enter the distance between the centers of the two objects in meters (m)
  4. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the gravitational force
  5. The result will be displayed in Newtons (N)

Understanding Gravitational Force

This calculator uses Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation, which states that every point mass attracts every other point mass in the universe with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.

The formula is: F = G × (m₁ × m₂) / r²

Example

If you have two objects with masses of 5 kg and 10 kg, separated by a distance of 2 meters, the gravitational force between them would be approximately 0.0837 N.

Practical Applications

This calculator can be used to:

  • Estimate gravitational forces between planets and moons
  • Calculate the force between everyday objects
  • Understand how mass and distance affect gravitational attraction
