Calculation Formula

Volume of Oxygen = (P₁ - P₂) × V × 10⁻³

Where:
P₁ = Initial Pressure (bar)
P₂ = Final Pressure (bar)
V = Cylinder Volume (liters)

Volume Calculator for Compressed Oxygen Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Volume Calculator for Compressed Oxygen calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the volume of your oxygen cylinder in liters (e.g., 2.0 for a standard D cylinder).
  2. Enter the initial pressure in the cylinder in bar (e.g., 200 for a full cylinder).
  3. Enter the final pressure in the cylinder in bar (e.g., 150 for a cylinder with 50 bar remaining).
  4. Click the "Calculate" button to determine the volume of oxygen remaining in the cylinder.

Working Principle

The calculator uses the formula: Volume of Oxygen = (P₁ - P₂) × V × 10⁻³, where P₁ is the initial pressure, P₂ is the final pressure, and V is the cylinder volume. This formula calculates the volume of oxygen in liters remaining in the cylinder based on the pressure difference and cylinder size.

Example

If you have a 2.0-liter oxygen cylinder with an initial pressure of 200 bar and a final pressure of 150 bar, the calculator will determine that there are approximately 1.0 liters of oxygen remaining in the cylinder.
