How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the volume of corn syrup in liters in the "Volume" field. For example, if you have 2.5 liters of corn syrup, enter "2.5".
- The density field is pre-filled with the default value for light corn syrup (1.338 g/cm³). If you're using a different type of corn syrup, adjust this value accordingly:
- Light corn syrup: 1.338 g/cm³
- Dark corn syrup: 1.37-1.48 g/cm³
- Pure corn syrup: 1.55 g/cm³
- Click the "Calculate" button to convert the volume to weight.
- The result will be displayed in grams in the "Weight" field.
Working Principle
This calculator uses the basic formula: Weight = Volume × Density. Since 1 liter equals 1000 cubic centimeters, the calculation accounts for the conversion between volume and weight using the corn syrup's density.
Practical Applications
This calculator is useful in various scenarios:
- Measuring ingredients for cooking and baking
- Chemical experiments requiring precise measurements
- Industrial applications where corn syrup is used as a component
- Inventory management for stores selling corn syrup in bulk
Example Calculation
If you have 3 liters of light corn syrup with a density of 1.338 g/cm³:
Weight = 3 L × 1000 cm³/L × 1.338 g/cm³ = 4014 g (or 4.014 kg)
