Calculation Formula

Brake Efficiency = (Brake Output Power / Brake Input Power) * 100%

Where:
Brake Efficiency is the efficiency of the brake system expressed as a percentage.
Brake Input Power is the power input to the brake system (Watts).
Brake Output Power is the power output from the brake system (Watts).

Learn how to use the Brake Efficiency Calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Brake Efficiency Calculator

  1. Enter the brake input power in watts in the "Brake Input Power" field.
  2. Enter the brake output power in watts in the "Brake Output Power" field.
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the brake efficiency.
  4. The brake efficiency will be displayed in the "Brake Efficiency" field as a percentage.

Working Principle

Brake efficiency is a measure of how effectively a brake system converts input power into output power. It is calculated as the ratio of brake output power to brake input power, expressed as a percentage. A higher brake efficiency indicates a more effective brake system.

Example

If the brake input power is 1000 watts and the brake output power is 950 watts, the brake efficiency would be calculated as follows:

Brake Efficiency = (950 / 1000) * 100% = 95%
