Calculation Formula

Intercooler Efficiency (ε) = (T_in - T_out) / (T_in - T_out_actual)

Where:
ε = Intercooler Efficiency
T_in = Inlet Temperature (°C)
T_out = Outlet Temperature (°C)
T_out_actual = Actual Outlet Temperature (°C)

  6. The intercooler efficiency will be displayed as a percentage.

Working Principle

The intercooler efficiency is a measure of how effectively the intercooler reduces the temperature of the refrigerant entering the compressor. It is calculated by comparing the actual temperature reduction to the ideal temperature reduction.

The formula used for calculating intercooler efficiency is:

ε = (T_in - T_out) / (T_in - T_out_actual)

Where:

  • ε = Intercooler Efficiency
  • T_in = Inlet Temperature (°C)
  • T_out = Outlet Temperature (°C)
  • T_out_actual = Actual Outlet Temperature (°C)
