How to Use the Calculator

2. Enter the Units Sold (number of units sold)
3. Enter the Cost per Unit (cost to produce or acquire each unit)

Working Principle

The calculator works based on the following formulas:

• Total Sales = Unit Price × Units Sold
• Total Cost = Cost per Unit × Units Sold
• Total Profit = Total Sales - Total Cost
• Profit Margin = (Total Profit / Total Sales) × 100%

Example

Suppose you sell 100 units at $20 each, with a cost of $10 per unit:

Total Sales = $20 × 100 = $2,000

Total Cost = $10 × 100 = $1,000

Total Profit = $2,000 - $1,000 = $1,000

Profit Margin = ($1,000 / $2,000) × 100% = 50%
