How to Use the Archery Angle Calculator

1. Enter the horizontal distance between the archer and the target in meters.
2. Enter the vertical distance between the archer's shooting position and the target's position.
3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the angle of elevation.
4. The result will be displayed in degrees.

Working Principle

The calculator uses the tangent function to calculate the angle of elevation. The formula is:

tan(θ) = opposite / adjacent = verticalDistance / horizontalDistance

Where:

• θ = Angle of elevation
• verticalDistance = Vertical height difference
• horizontalDistance = Horizontal distance

This helps archers determine the correct angle to aim to hit a target placed at a different height than the archer.
