Working Principle
The consignment percentage calculator helps determine how much of the sale value goes to the consignor versus the consignee.
The consignor typically receives a percentage of the sale value as commission, while the consignee receives the remainder.
Example
If goods worth ₹50,000 are consigned and the consignor is to receive 20% of the value, the calculation would be:
- Consignor's Commission = ₹50,000 × 20% = ₹10,000
- Consignee's Net Amount = ₹50,000 - ₹10,000 = ₹40,000
- Consignor's Net Amount = ₹50,000 - ₹10,000 = ₹40,000
Important Notes
- Ensure all values are entered in the same currency
- The calculator assumes the consignee's value is the same as the consignor's value unless specified otherwise
- This calculator can be used for any type of consignment arrangement, including goods, services, or assets
