Understanding Chimney Height Requirements

The height of a chimney is an important factor for proper ventilation and compliance with safety regulations. Generally, chimneys should be tall enough to prevent smoke from entering nearby buildings and to ensure efficient combustion.

The calculator uses the following formula based on local building regulations:

Chimney Height = Building Height + Additional Height

Local Building Regulations

• Standard: Chimney height should be 1 meter taller than the building height.
• High-Rise: Chimney height should be 1.5 meters taller than the building height (for buildings taller than 20 meters).
• Low-Rise: Chimney height should be 0.5 meters taller than the building height (for buildings shorter than 10 meters).
