Where:
Gross Weight: The total weight of the explosive material and its container.
Tare Weight: The weight of the empty container.

Net Explosive Weight Calculator Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Net Explosive Weight Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the Gross Weight of the explosive material and its container in kilograms (kg).
  2. Enter the Tare Weight of the empty container in kilograms (kg).
  3. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the Net Explosive Weight.
  4. The result will be displayed in kilograms (kg).

Working Principle

The Net Explosive Weight (NEW) is calculated by subtracting the Tare Weight (weight of the empty container) from the Gross Weight (total weight of the explosive material and its container). This gives the actual weight of the explosive material.

Example

If the Gross Weight is 100 kg and the Tare Weight is 5 kg, the Net Explosive Weight will be:

NEW = 100 kg - 5 kg = 95 kg
