How to use the calculator
- Enter the cost price per book (the amount you paid to acquire each book)
- Enter the list price per book (the selling price of each book)
- Enter the quantity of books sold
- Click the "Calculate" button to see the profit calculations
Understanding the results
- Total Revenue: The total income from selling all books (List Price × Quantity)
- Total Cost: The total expense for purchasing all books (Cost Price × Quantity)
- Profit per Book: The profit earned on each individual book (List Price - Cost Price)
- Total Profit: The total profit from selling all books (Profit per Book × Quantity)
Example
If you bought books for $10 each (Cost Price) and sold them for $25 each (List Price), and you sold 50 books:
Profit per Book = $25 - $10 = $15
Total Profit = $15 × 50 = $750
