Calculation Formula

Flow Rate (Q) = (Pressure Drop (ΔP) / (8 * Viscosity (μ) * Length (L))) * π * r⁴

Where:
Q = Flow Rate (m³/s)
ΔP = Pressure Drop (Pa)
μ = Viscosity (Pa·s)
L = Length (m)
r = Radius (m)

Agilent Flow Calculator Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Agilent Flow Calculator calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the pressure in Pascals (Pa).
  2. Enter the area in square meters (m²).
  3. Enter the viscosity in Pascal-seconds (Pa·s).
  4. Click the "Calculate" button to compute the flow rate.
  5. The flow rate will be displayed in cubic meters per second (m³/s).

Working Principle

The calculator uses the Hagen-Poiseuille equation to calculate the flow rate of a fluid through a pipe. The equation is based on the pressure drop, viscosity of the fluid, length of the pipe, and radius of the pipe.
