Drying Rate Calculator

This calculator estimates the drying rate of a material based on humidity and time.

Input Parameters

Calculation Results

Calculation Formula

Drying Rate = (Initial Humidity - Final Humidity) / Drying Time

Where:
Initial Humidity = Initial moisture content of the material
Final Humidity = Moisture content after drying
Drying Time = Time taken to dry the material

Results

Drying Rate:

0.00 %/hour

Total Moisture Removed:

0.00 kg

Drying Rate Calculator Usage Guide

Learn how to use the Drying Rate Calculator and its working principles

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the Initial Humidity of the material (in percentage).
  2. Enter the Final Humidity after drying (in percentage).
  3. Enter the Drying Time (in hours).
  4. Click the Calculate button to get the results.

Understanding the Results

The calculator provides two key results:

  • Drying Rate: This is the rate at which humidity decreases per hour during the drying process.
  • Total Moisture Removed: This is the total amount of moisture removed from the material during the drying process.

Example

If a material has an initial humidity of 80% and a final humidity of 20% over a drying time of 10 hours, the drying rate would be:

80% - 20% = 60% / 10 hours = 6% per hour.

This means the material loses 6% of its moisture content each hour.
