Working Principle

Momentum is a measurement involving mass in motion, capturing both the amount of mass involved and the speed of the objects involved. The momentum gain is the change in momentum of an object when its velocity changes. The formula used to calculate momentum gain is:

Momentum Gain (Δp) = m * (vf - vi)

Where:

• m = mass of the object
• vi = initial velocity
• vf = final velocity
• Δp = change in momentum
