How to Use the Calculator

1. Enter the total number of pages in the book in the "Book Pages" field.
2. Enter your reading speed in words per minute in the "Reading Speed" field.
3. The "Average Words per Page" field is pre-filled with 250, but you can adjust this if you know the actual average for the book.
4. Click the "Calculate" button to see the estimated reading time.

Understanding Reading Speed

The average reading speed for adults is about 200-300 words per minute. However, this can vary based on several factors:

• Familiarity with the material
• Complexity of the text
• Reading environment
• Reader's attention and focus

Example Calculation

If a book has 300 pages and you read at a speed of 250 words per minute, the calculation would be:

300 pages × 250 words/page = 75,000 words

75,000 words ÷ 250 words/minute = 300 minutes

300 minutes = 5 hours

This means it would take you approximately 5 hours to read the book.
