Understanding the Calculation

The calculator uses a simple formula to estimate the value of your trailer:

Trailer Value = BaseValue * ConditionFactor * SizeFactor * DemandFactor

Where:

  • BaseValue is set at $20,000 for a new trailer
  • ConditionFactor adjusts the value based on the condition of the trailer (higher condition means higher value)
  • SizeFactor adds $2 for every square foot of trailer size
  • DemandFactor reflects current market demand for trailers

Example

If you have a 5-year-old trailer that is in good condition (800 sq ft), with a market demand rating of 7:

Trailer Value = $20,000 * 0.8 * $2/sq ft * 7 = $22,400
